About the District
Tillamook District Office
Tillamook District is part of the Northwest Oregon Area of the
Oregon Department of Forestry.  The district manages the western portion of the Tillamook State Forest for a wide variety of forest resources and uses. (The eastern portion of the Tillamook State Forest is managed by the Forest Grove District.) The district administers rules and laws applicable to forest activities, and provides fire protection on state and privately owned land within the district. Personal Firewood and Special Forest Products Permits

News Release: Firewood permit sales resume October 10, 2011
 
Permits for the Tillamook District are available outside of fire season at the Tillamook office, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except on State holidays).
 
Personal firewood permits must be purchased by the individual who will be named on the permit. The license number of the vehicle to be used for hauling the wood is required at the time of purchase. 
 
Cost is $20 (no checks accepted) and permit is valid for 2 cords or 3 weeks, whichever comes first. Individuals or households are limited to 3 permits in a 12 month period and only one permit at a time will be issued per individual or household.
 
A map of the area and environmental guidelines will be provided at the time of purchase.
