June 8, Tuesday - Field Tour: Forest Capital Partners Forestlands
Wallowa Unit ODF Office @ 8:00 a.m. on June 8th
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The Board will meet for a field tour of Forest Capital Partners’ working forests in Wallowa County. Forest Capital Partners is the largest private forest landowner in northeast Oregon and the tour will focus on three themes: 1.) maintaining working forests in eastern Oregon – issues and potential solutions; 2.) non-timber and conservation objectives and values of private working forests; and 3.) forest management practices in northeast Oregon.
Tour briefing will be held at 8:00 a.m. at the Wallowa Unit ODF Office, 802 West Highway #82, Wallowa, Oregon 97885. Members of the public wishing to join the Board are asked to bring their lunch and provide their own transportation.
