Insurance
The benefits package for DAS employees includes medical and dental insurance for the employee and their family. It also includes mandatory $25,000 life insurance coverage for the employee. These basic benefits are part of a cafeteria plan that meets IRS requirements, so they are paid with pre-tax dollars. The state provides a monthly benefit amount toward the cost of these benefits for full-time employees.
