Message to Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB) Interested Parties:
Following is notice of the public meetings scheduled for November 2008. All meeting dates, times, agenda items and locations are subject to change.

Thursday, November 6, 2008 – 1 to 3 p.m. -- PEBB/OEBB Boardroom, Department of Administrative Services, 1225 Ferry Street SE, Salem, OR 97301. The OEBB Administrative Workgroup will conduct a public meeting to review and discuss information on Board and staff roles, responsibilities, and authority; and the Appeal Committee formation and process options.
Thursday, November 20, 2008 – 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. -- PEBB/OEBB Boardroom, Department of Administrative Services, 1225 Ferry Street SE, Salem, OR 97301. The Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB) will conduct a public meeting to discuss/review information and recommendations from the Administrative Workgroup and continue discussions regarding optional benefits. The agenda will be posted on the OEBB Web site by Wednesday, November 19. All meeting dates, times, and locations are subject to change.

The Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB) is meeting in executive session beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2008, for the purpose of reviewing confidential information relating to a collaborative proposal for providing services for uninsured children. The executive session is being held pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(f) which allows a governing body to hold an executive session to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection.
Representatives of the news media, OEBB staff and individuals specifically invited to participate are allowed to attend this executive session. Representatives of the news media are specifically directed not to report on any of the deliberations during executive session, except to state the general subject of the session as previously announced. No decision may be made in executive session.

Parking at the Dept. of Administrative Services:
Limited metered parking is available on Ferry Street, nearby streets and in the surface lot at the corner of Ferry and 13th streets. Full- and half-day permits ($3 or $6) are available for the rooftop only of the Ferry St. parking structure. Permits can be purchased at the Parking Office, 1225 Ferry St SE, 1st floor. The parking structure is located directly across the street from the meeting location.
